EPRClub / ACR+ / EXPRA Lunch debate - 25 March 2015
EPR Club LUNCH DEBATE
Hosted by EXPRA
EPR in new Circular Economy package
25 March 2015 | 12.30 - 14.30
An EPR system usually comprises of many different stakeholders (namely material producers, packaging producers, fillers and importers, retailers, consumer, local authorities, waste management companies, recyclers and, not to forget, the legislator); it can therefore only function well if all these stakeholders work perfectly together. To do so, lots of trust and communication is needed, which again requires transparency on the action of the different actors.
During the lunch debate, EPR Club members discussed different aspects of transparency such as which level of transparency should be required from the various actors within the EPR system, what should be done on a European level to ensure a certain amount of transparency and what degree of confidentiality should be kept.
