EPR Club hosts “Extended Producer Responsibility and the Circular Economy Act” workshop

As part of EU Green Week 2025, the EPR Club will host a workshop on 6 June 2025, focusing on the role of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in advancing the objectives of the forthcoming Circular Economy Act. Running from 10:00 to 12:00, the event will bring together interested stakeholders for a timely exchange on how EPR schemes can be utilised to help build a more circular, competitive, and resilient EU economy.

The workshop will provide a platform to assess the achievements and limitations of EPR to date, and explore how these schemes can be better designed to support reuse, recycling, and improved waste collection systems. Topics will include local and regional implementation, EPR funding mechanisms, targets for reuse, support for social enterprises, and a dedicated focus on the WEEE sector.
