The EPR Club will host an online debate on 10 November 2026, from 10:30 to 12:00, entitled “EPR as a signal for circular design“. The event is organised in collaboration with the ECESP Leadership Group on Economic and Financial Instruments for the Circular Transition.
The discussion will explore how Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes can go beyond financing waste management and encourage producers to design more circular products. Focusing on the electronics supply chain, participants will examine how eco-modulation of EPR fees can incentivise improvements in product longevity, reparability and recyclability.
The session will also consider what makes these mechanisms effective and how EPR schemes can better reward circular design choices.
