This event will bring together EPR experts and practitioners (PROs, producers, compliance experts to discuss key challenges and opportunities in the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes, with particular focus on registration and freeriding. The discussion will focus on two critical areas: the development of a unified producer registry to streamline product registration and reporting across markets, and strategies to address free-riding practices that undermine fair competition and effective waste management financing. Drawing insights from stakeholders from different EU countries, regulatory levels and product streams, the event aims to gain key takeaways on how to further harmonise EPR registries in the EU to improve the transparency and enforceability of EPR in the EU.
