LIFE4EPR deliverables available on the EPR Club Virtual Library

The LIFE4EPR project has recently released several new deliverables, including Deliverable 3.1, which provides an in-depth analysis of national Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) producer and product registers across EU Member States.

The report highlights the increasing complexity of EPR systems in Europe. While policies are largely defined at EU level, registration and compliance remain nationally driven. This creates challenges for producers, especially those operating across borders, such as duplicated procedures, inconsistent data requirements, and unclear obligations. At the same time, authorities and Producer Responsibility Organisations (PROs) face fragmented data systems that can limit effective monitoring and enforcement.

Deliverable 3.1 examines these issues and outlines potential pathways towards greater harmonisation. Although a fully centralised EU register may not be feasible in the short term, the report explores alternative approaches, including improved interoperability through data hubs and more integrated models such as a European one-stop register or federated systems.

The EPR Club has made these deliverables, along with other recent project outputs, available in our Virtual Library. We invite you to explore these resources to stay up to date with the latest developments in EPR implementation.
